Our RIOT Panels are usually connected to a PC which pulls back their data for storage and display but they can also log to an xD card; the possibilties are two fold:

1. In situations where a PC is not available for instance onboard a trawler, data can be logged to a card and restored later when a PC is available (the PC does not have to be connected to restore from the card).
2. In critical monitoring situations where a backup is required, even if a PC failure occurs data will continue to be saved to the card and can be restore at any point.

The xD card holds up to 1 years data and multiple cards can be used if necessary.
