General
What can the system monitor?
Our IT units can measure temperature, humidity, digital status, frequency, flow, pressure, voltage and more. Are your calibrations UKAS accredited?
We currently offer UKAS traceable calibrations. We are working towards our ISO 17025 accreditation.I don’t have AAW hardware, can you still calibrate my system?
As long as your sensors are connected to a display then we can complete calibration, contact us for a quote. Can you come to site to assess our requirements?
- In order to provide you with an accurate quotation, we offer free site survey visits to customers located within a 3 hour journey from our office in Berkshire.
- For customers further out will we endeavor to visit you free of charge when we have planned work in your area.
- Alternatively: We can use a detailed site plan to estimate your requirements and send a quote including options for any potential additional hardware costs that may be needed during the install.
- OR a quote can be provided detailing the cost for a site survey visit at our earliest availability
Can I install a system myself?
Yes, systems can be delivered. The unit will be setup ready for connection prior to delivery and can be installed by a member of staff once received on site. AAW staff can offer support via telephone and email. Note: If you chose to have the system delivered, there will be no training provided (A manual will be supplied). If any issues occur that require AAW to attend site to assist, that visit would be chargeable. Can you offer a same day visit from an engineer?
If you require an engineer on site the same day we can offer an 'emergency visit', please contact us (dependent on distance from our office). What are your delivery charges?
Please see the below as a guideline for delivery charges, these charges are however are subject to change based on order quantity, delivery charges will be confirmed in your quotation: £10 - Probes/Brackets £15 - ITs £30 - RIOT-S Systems All deliveries are sent via Royal Mail Tracked & Signed.WebREACT & WebREACT Lite
Forgotten password?
If you have forgotten the password for your WebREACT/Lite login, please contact AAW for it to be reset. How is the monitoring data backed up and stored?
All data for your site will be stored for 30 years (including on a secondary location). The current year and 1 calendar year can be viewed on your WebREACT site at any time, but at request any historical data can be loaded to your site within 30 minutes. How often does data upload to the WebREACT site?
answerThe trend on a graph is not up to date?
If you find that a graph on your WebREACT/WebREACT Lite site is not up to date, please follow the below steps:- Confirm if it is just 1 graph or the whole site (check other graphs and the time in top right).
- If the graph is less than 10 minute behind please wait at least 15 minutes and refresh for the next transmit to be uploaded.
- If it is more than 10 minutes behind please check the sensor position in location, fix if required and wait for data upload.
- If there is still no change then please contact support.
No graphs are up to date on WebREACT?
If ALL your monitored points are behind time, please check the time in the top right corner of your WebREACT/WebREACT Lite site. If the time is not correct it is likely that your RIOT-S has lost internet connection and cannot upload the data to WebREACT. Please check:- The RIOT-S unit is on and working and connected to the mains power
- The RIOT-S unit is connected to the network (RIOT-S socket and wall socket)
- The network is working
Some settings are “greyed” out?
If you have logged into your WebREACT or WebREACT Lite and find that some settings options are "greyed" out and you cannot change them, then it is likely that your login does not have the permission level required to make that change. We would advise that you discuss this with your company superior to see if your permission level can be changed. What reports can be created?
WebREACT Reports can be created via the WebREACT site for:- Averages (Produces a report all or just the first input of all rooms over a period. The report optionally shows the average temperature as well as the minimum temperature, maximum temperate, latest value and the high and low alarm limit.)
- System Reports (Produces reports of one or many rooms. The reports can optionally show graphs, alarms and comments over a time range.)
- Installation Qualification (Shows a table of all of the alarm settings of a system.)
- Operational Qualification (Produces a report of all the alarm events of the entire system over a time range.)
- Performance Qualification (Produces a report of all the alarm events of a chosen room over a time range.)
Why is my WebREACT plan orange and yellow?
The WebREACT plan shows your monitored locations. When an alarm is triggered, that location on the overview plan will flash orange. Once acknowledged, if the location is still outside of alarm parameters, the location on the plan will remain a solid yellow until the temperature returns within limits. There is an active alarm on WebREACT but nothing to acknowledge?
On the alarm history try ticking 'S' box at the top of the alarm history, this shows any 'system' alarms. What alarm options are available?
When a point on your system enters an active alarm state, notification of alarm can be sent via the following options:- Email (Included in WebREACT & WebREACT Lite fee)
- SMS (Additional monthly charge (500 or unlimited SMS per month options available)
- Dial Out (Additional monthly charge)
RIOT-S
The RIOT-S screen is unresponsive
There multiple reasons why a RIOT-S screen may be unresponsive:- Damage: If there is visible damage to the screen, i.e the screen has been pushed too hard, cracked, something has been used instead of the stylus ect, then the entire RIOT-S unit will need to be replaced. Please contact us for a quote.
- Frozen: If the screen cannot be "woken up" by touching the screen with the supplied stylus, then the unit could need a reset. Please contact us for details of how to do this.
- Calibration required: If the screen is not responding to the area pressed by the stylus it may require calibration. Gently press and hold the stylus to the screen for 25 seconds then let go, which will bring up the calibration screen, complete the instructions on screen. If this does not resolve the issue please contact us for further assistance.
My RIOT-S is constantly beeping?
If your RIOT-S unit it beeping, it is because an alarm is active. Check the status in the top right hand side of the home screen to see any active alarms. A RIOT-S manual is available on the Downloads page and provides instructions on how to acknowledge alarms. My RIOT-S is beeping but there is nothing to acknowledge on WebREACT?
This is likely to be an active 'Server Alarm'. If the RIOT-S unit has lost network connection to the WebREACT/WebREACT Lite site then a 'server alarm' will be activated to inform you of the lost connection. Checking the time in the top right corner of your WebREACT site will confirm this. If the WebREACT site is 'behind time' please complete the below checks:- The RIOT-S unit is on and working and connected to the mains power
- The RIOT-S unit is connected to the network (RIOT-S socket and wall socket)
- The network is working
Wireless IT Sensors
Are temperature sensors UKAS calibrated?
All IT temperature sensors are supplied with a 3 point UKAS traceable calibration as standard at -30°C, 0.0°C and +30°C.How long does the battery last in an IT?
We would recommend that the batteries within a wireless IT sensor are replaced every 12 months as part of the annual calibration. How long can an IT store data for?
A wireless IT sensor can store data without uploading to a RIOT-S unit for a certain amount of days, dependent on the inputs on the unit:- For a single input IT it will store for 10 days.
- For a dual input IT it will store for 5 days.
- For a triple input IT it will store for 2 days.
How often does the sensor take a reading?
The default setting is that the Wireless IT sensors collect monitoring data every 1 minute and communicates the data back to a RIOT-S base unit using a wireless radio network every 5 minutes.
(Note: If the data sample collected at a 1 minute interval has breached the set alarm limits&delay the IT sensor will send that data immediately to the RIOT-S unit so an alarm can be activated.)How many IT sensors can be installed at a site?
- Each RIOT-S unit can accommodate 64 alarm templates so we would say that each RIOT-S unit can be set up with a maximum of 64 ITs.
- If several ITs share 1 alarm template you can go above 64 ITs but in this scenario we would advise on an individual basis.
- Essentially the answer is as many as you would like; further RIOT-S units and signal repeaters can be added for system expansion. A maximum number could reached if the sensor population ends up too dense.
