Wireless IT Sensors
Our Wireless IT sensors collect monitoring data every minute and communicate that data back to a RIOT-S base unit using a wireless radio network. The IT sensors are battery powered and can be placed directly in location with no need for further wiring, they are able to span between buildings and over multiple floors with the use of signal repeater units.
Easy to View Data
Data from the ITs can be viewed on graphs via a RIOT-S unit or on our WebREACT and WebREACT Lite software via a PC or smart phone
Optional Number of Inputs
The IT sensor has the capability to monitor up to 3 inputs per unit (dependent on requirements)
If It Can Be Measured, It Can Be Monitored
IT units can measure temperature, humidity, digital status, frequency, flow, pressure, voltage and more:

Temperature
Variety of Sensor Types
- Air
- Simulated core with fluid bottle
- Stab
- Surface
Calibration
If installation into the unit is not possible the IT can be installed outside of unit/environment but fitted with temperature sensor on long cable, that can read from -199°C to +200°C.
Suitable for monitoring:
- Cooker
- Ambient
- Fridge
- Freezer
- Blast freezer
- Low temperature i.e liquid nitrogen cryogenics.
Robust & Watertight
HACCP
All tests are displayed on the relevant screen on the WebREACT system, each test can also be selected and a comment added with the save report function.
The IT Quality Assurance (QA) function holds all item descriptions and set points for all checked areas; QA personnel would select an area, the relevant set-points would be displayed and the unit would start to monitor the temperature.
Humidity & PH
- Unobtrusively monitor humidity and temperature inside a sealed vessel during curing of epoxy resins.
- Monitor dehumidifiers within productions environments to ensure product is at correct specifications (Example: dry age meat)
- Provide welfare monitoring for staff work environments.
Monitored values are shown on the system graphs as relative humidity percentage.
PH Monitoring
- Effluent monitoring to meet national grid discharge requirements.
- Incoming water from bore hole.
Digital
Instances of use:
Our Digital IT sensors are used to provide notifications for relay outputs on digital systems :
Compressors: We supplied a Digital IT sensor connected to a relay held in the “ON” position, which generated alarms on the monitoring system in the event of failure or power loss.
Effluent plant monitoring: We supplied a Digital IT sensor that connected to the relay on PLC to trigger alarms on the existing AAW monitoring system installed on site: which prevented the customer having to purchase a 2nd system for effluent monitoring.
Hospital Refrigeration: Commonly units have relays attached that can generate alarms for doors, internal fridge battery, temperature; we can connect the relay to a digital IT sensor which will send the data to the monitoring system/generate required alarms.
Door Monitoring
- Used within chill environments in factory’s to reduce energy usage.
- Used in hospitals as an early warning system for issues with a door being left open (prior to the temperature rising enough to trigger an alarm).

Gas Sensing
- CO2
- O2
- Large range of refrigerant (Ammonia, R22, R404A, R600A R134A, R600A)
The readings can be provided in a number of possible formats:
- PPH/Percentage
- PPM
- PPB
- PPT
