RIOTThe RIOT is used as a stand alone product with wired sensors that can alarm, dialout, log to a printer and/or an xD data card. It is also the hub for most of AAW's portfolio of products. This allows users to expand and utilise the benefits of the RIOT Station system (which is FREE with a RIOT system), IT wireless units, webREACT and 3G software which enables the system to be viewed fromanywhere in the world. Housed within a stainless steel enclosure to IP65 standards, makes the unit suitable for installation in wash down environments. RIOT Product DetailsThe RIOT itself will enable the connection for up to 32 inputs, analogue or digital for utilities and plant monitoring. The 2 line by 16 character display cycles through each point, displaying the point name, last value read and current status. The on board keypad allows configuration of set points, alarm delay, time, date and IP address. On activation of an alarm, an internal siren will sound along with 2 flashing LEDs on the front panel. The display will then indicate the relevant text as to location, alarm and type. Once acknowledged via the keypad the siren will stop and the lights will cease flashing but remain in a solid state until the fault has been cleared. To avoid unnecessary alarms during periods such as cleaning, loading, emptying etc. individual points can be inhibited locally at the panel. If upon alarm activation, an engineer is to be notified then a dial out unit can be attached to 1 of the 3 available output options. Typically these relays are used for sirens, wall mounted beacons or dial out units. For recording and storage purposes a 16 input RIOT will hold up to 3 days of data at 15 minute logging intervals. This can be expanded with an xD data card. The RIOT can be set to print at regular intervals via a local A4 printer. Each temperature change is logged so timescale is directly related to system activity. There is vast flexibility with the product provided by the built-in web server and the available ports for RS232/485, ethernet LAN and/or wireless communications. Installation - the keyed door allows for ease of installation and access to the xD data card. Once removed the xD data card can be placed within a standard Windows card reader and the data downloaded and viewed on a PC, (part of the RIOT Station system).
